A selection of Chinese porcelain, decorated in underglaze blue, from the 18th to 20th.Century.
18th.Century small bottle vase
A porcelain underglaze blue small bottle vase, probably from the Kangxi period, and made for the middle-east export market.Painted with birds, butterflies, peony and lotus flowers. The bottle form body raised on a spreading foot base and unmarked. In very good original condition no damage or repairs.
A porcelain jar, decorated with 'Shi-Shi' pattern, in underglaze blue. Four-character mark for Kangxi to base. In a good general condition. Small repaired frit to mouth rim.
An 18th.Century porcelain shallow circular dish.Made for the European market. Decorated with peony blossoms amongst tendrils and leaf scrolls. Two sprigs painted to the underside. Made Kangxi period.(1662-1722) Good condition for its age, no chips. Some slight restoration to two short hairline cracks to dish rim.
An 18th.Century export porcelain teabowl and saucer. Painted to the centre with two figures in underglaze blue. Painted to the reverse with figures and buildings. Both bowl and saucer with barbed rims. Unmarked to base.In fair condition but both with short sealed hairline cracks. No chips.
An export dish painted in underglaze blue, with a peony and scroll. Generally good condition, but one short sealed hairline crack and rim frits. The base un-marked. Made c1740 to c1760
A small deep dish made in the 18th. Century, probably Qianlong period. With a floral decoration and to the reverse side are four fungus 'linzhi' emblems, brown glazed rim. The dish has one short sealed hairline crack to the rim, no other damage.
A porcelain export foliate moulded and barbed rim wine-cup, decorated in underglaze-blue with figures, floral sprays etc. and with encircled four character mark for Chenghua to base. In good condition but small rim frit to mouth.
A moulded porcelain tea cannister,decorated in underglaze pale blue. Possibly from the Kangxi period. Generally good condition but two faint short sealed hairline cracks to the mouth and a small chip/loss to the moulded scroll base.
A large early 19th.Century jar, painted in underglaze blue with three Buddhistic lions among clouds on a pale blue tinted glaze ground. Good original condition, no cracks or chips or restoration, with later EPNS cover.
A porcelain Canton Nanking type plate, painted with pagodas in a rocky river landscape to centre. very good original condition, No cracks, no chips or restoration.
A large bottle vase decorated in underglaze blue with calligraphy on a dence leafy scroll ground. In the'double happines'pattern, Made Tonzhi period, 1862-74.Damage to mouth and neck, cracked and with old rivit repaired damage.
